Foam Swords and a Footstool!

Christmas is a 2 dollar foam sword fight!

It always seems that those last minute toys are the hit of Christmas. After all the packages were opened and all the paper waded up and thrown away. The kids received their final gift from Grandpa and Grandma... Foam Swords. For $8 they were the hit of Christmas. Makes you wonder if all you got them was a foam sword would they be just as happy with it?

New Bikes for trail riding this summer!

The kids were very excited to get new bikes. They are excited to try hand brakes versus the back pedal breaking they are used to. I'm excited to ride the trails with kids on good bikes.

This Christmas at home with the kids was wonderful. What a magical time of year. I try each year not to let the "commercialism" of Christmas get to me, not an easy trick anymore. I think as long as I live I will "Believe" in the magic of Christmas, in Santa Claus, in the anticipation of opening packages and the smiles and excitement that coinside.
It is also a time to remember the miracle of "everyday" life, and the greatest gift God gave to us his only son. Just as much as the Christmas part makes me feel magical, I feel spiritually blessed by the life and family God has given me. I thank God for all of the wonderful parts of life and the journey I am on.
So I hope each of you had a Magical Christmas, I hope you "Believe" in the spirit of Christmas.

I hope all of your days are filled with Hope, Joy, and Peace.

And I hope that you too have a life you thank God for each day.

Snow Day

What fun it is to have a Snow Day. Katie had a Spa Day, her package included... Hair, Makeup, a Pedicure and Manicure. We also did a few interviews.

My New Closet :)

I am so excited I finally have a great closet. This had been a project on hold for many years and finally it's all done. Thanks to my DH I have the closet I have always wished for. Thanks Hunna.

Miller Park!

Jonathan said, "Mom I can't believe I'm standing in front of Miller Park, this is the greatest."

Jonathan is a HUGE Milwaukee Brewer fan and this was his first trip to Miller Park. Unfortunatley it was just for supper, but he still got a thrill seeing the field and just being there. This is the biggest smile I've see in a while.

We headed over to Milwaukee Museum to see the Titanic Exhibit and ended up doing the entire Museum. The kids loved everything. In the Titanic Exhibit we saw many items recovered from the Ship. We were each given a Boarding Pass, Jonathan was a first class man who survived. Katie was a first class woman who survived, her maid did too. I was a third class Irish immigrant who survived. Heather's family not so lucky, Eric a first class man lost, Lindsey was lost and Logan was lost. The saddest one to look up was Heather's she was a third class woman traveling to America with her 4 children. Her husand had gone to America 2 years earlier and saved enough money to send for his family. The entire family was lost to the Titanic. It was a very special exhibit to see. We also went to the Live Butterfly exhibit that also had a Corpse Flower included. The kids loved the Streets of Old Milwaukee and the European Village, Katie knocked on every door! Heather and I even got to see Samson the Gorilla recreated for the Museum, last time we saw him was at the Milwaukee Zoo years ago. We all had a great time. The Milwaukee Museum is definetly a great place to go.

These pictures are all post friendly. I have found some very very odd pictures on my camera, some I laugh at some I'm really not sure about. Ask me if you dare.

Halloween Parade and Trick or Treating.

Jonathan was Prince Fielder the Milwaukee Brewers 1st Baseman. Jonathan didn't want to do to the parade, he didn't want his picture taken, it was one of those days.

Katie was a princess. She wanted to go to the parade she loves being in the parade. She loved handing out candy to kids and loved trick or treating. It was an adventure.
